Your scars may be too deep for you to recover. But don’t be afraid.Stand up again and look forward. In future, those scars might be part of your identities being proud of and you might be able to tell that they were valuable experiences that made you stronger.
Embrace past scars. Don’t hide but face them positively. Time will come when you are able to be proud of them.
Japanese Samurai have always lived on the brink of death. They valued their pride as Samurai more than their death. Rather than living in disgrace, they chose the way they wouldn't be ashamed of in the afterlife.
Imagining the extreme psychological state of the Samurai, we feel the degree of "resolve" is far superior to ours living in this era. The magnitude of resolve sometimes generates tremendous energy.
In modern times, it may not be even imaginable to take responsibility for failure and commit “HARAKIRI” ‒ ritual suicide by disembowelment like the Samurai did, and it may be difficult to mimic their values.
However, we can challenge ourselves and fail. As long as we live, we can challenge ourselves. What's important is to learn something out of failures.
What do you want to see? Where do you want to reach? What kind of man you want to be?
Time is finite. The moment of now will never come back. As long as you cower and hide, you won't achieve anything.
Cherish every moment and live a life without any regrets. Like the Samurai who lived in the moment with strong belief in their ambitions.
